Description: This MAb recognizes basic (Type II or HMW) cytokeratins, which include 67 kDa (CK1); 64 kDa (CK3); 59 kDa (CK4); 58 kDa (CK5); 56 kDa (CK6); 52 kDa (CK8). Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI 6.0) subfamilies. The acidic keratins have molecular weights (MW) of 56.5, 55, 51, 50, 50 , 48, 46, 45, and 40 kDa. Many studies have shown the usefulness of keratins as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis.

Description: Bradykinin (BK) is a nine-amino acid peptide produced by kallikrein cleavage of kininogen precursor proteins in tissue and plasma, and is an important regulator of vascular and pain responses to tissue injury. Two receptors (B1 and B2) have been identified as mediators of BK signaling, and are both seven-transmembrane domain-containing GPCRs. The B2 receptor is constitutively expressed in smooth muscle and neurons, whereas B1 expression is induced following injury. B2 receptors signal via Gq alpha subunits, leading to activation of phospholipase Cbeta, hydrolysis of PI, and an intracellular increase in free calcium, although coupling through Gi, Gs, and G12/13 has also been observed.

Description: The proto oncogene c CBL was initially identified as the cellular homologue of v CBL oncogene that induces pre B cell lymphomas and myeloid leukaemias in mice. In more recent studies CBL has been shown to be a negative regulator of tyrosine kinase signaling. The ubiquitin ligase activity of CBL leads to the degradation of tyrosine kinases, thus attenuating the signal of receptors. Targets of CBL include activated protein tyrosine kinases belonging to the Src and Syk/Zap 70 families. An additional mechanism to attenuate receptor signaling is thought to be achieved by CBL?s interaction with downstream targets of tyrosine kinases, such as PI 3K and Vav.

Description: Plays a central role during spermatogenesis by repressing transposable elements and preventing their mobilization, which is essential for the germline integrity. Acts via the piRNA metabolic process, which mediates the repression of transposable elements during meiosis by forming complexes composed of piRNAs and Piwi proteins and governs the methylation and subsequent repression of transposons. Its association with pi-bodies suggests a participation in the primary piRNAs metabolic process. Required prior to the pachytene stage to facilitate the production of multiple types of piRNAs, including those associated with repeats involved in the regulation of retrotransposons. May act by mediating protein-protein interactions during germ cell maturation (By similarity).

Description: Recognizes an N-glycosylated glycoprotein of 120 kDa with intra-chain disulfide bonds, identified as CD50 or ICAM-3 (WS: IV & V). Its epitope localizes in the D2 extracellular domain and is resistant to neuraminidase and proteases. CD50 is the major ligand for LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18) and may have signalling role to increase adhesion. It is expressed on thymocytes and T lymphocytes and is resistant to treatment with phosphatidylinositol (PI) phospholipase C. This MAb inhibits primary mixed lymphocyte culture (MLC) but not secondary MLC, cytotoxicity or proliferation induced by mitogens. It blocks binding of NK1-L16 stimulated T cells to L cells expressing CD50. This MAb is excellent for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.
