The MinION™ Mk1D is a cutting-edge, portable sequencer enabling real-time sequencing in diverse environments. Designed to connect with modern laptops via its USB-C port, it is compatible with MinION™ Flow Cells.
Improved thermal regulation capabilities of the MinION™ MK1D significantly enhance sequencing performance, allowing highly accurate real-time sequencing in an even wider range of environments than its predecessor, the MinION™ Mk1B. Intuitive status LEDs make the status of the device clear at a glance.
The MinION™ Mk1D device is suitable for a range of applications, including metagenomic species identification, antibiotic resistance profiling, microbial genome assembly, plasmid sequencing, targeted sequencing, low-coverage sequencing of large genomes and isoform-level transcriptomics.
Ligation sequencing and native barcoding kits – highest output and control over read lengths (60 min. prep time; 1,000 ng gDNA).
Rapid sequencing and rapid barcoding kits – fastest, simplest library preparation (from 10 min. prep time; 200 ng gDNA). These kits are able to generate sequencing accuracies of over 99% (Q20+) and duplex data but have been optimized for speed and simplicity. If users require high duplex data, we recommend the ligation sequencing kit v14 or native barcoding kit v14.
Rapid PCR barcoding kit – ideal for low input amounts (15 min. + PCR prep time; 1 - 5 ng gDNA)
cDNA-PCR sequencing kit – identification and quantification of full-length transcripts with highest output (~225 min. + PCR prep time; 10 ng poly-A+ RNA or 500 ng total RNA).
Direct RNA sequencing kit – sequence RNA molecules directly and identify base modifications (135 min. prep time; 300 ng poly-A+ RNA or 1 μg total RNA).
